Get The Party Started With Bachelorette T-Shirts

While some wedding traditions may seem antiquated, dull and boring, the bachelorette party is anything but! Every bride-to-be looks forward to one last wild night with her favorite gals before settling down into her role as a new wife. It's a rite of passage that helps everyone unwind and relieve some of the stresses of planning a wedding. If you are the maid-of-honor or one of the bridesmaids in charge of planning a bachelorette party it is your job to make sure everyone has a good time and make the experience truly unforgettable. Designing bachelorette t-shirts will help you do just that. Here is a guide to help you create the ultimate party favor.

1. Pick A Bright Colored Shirt

The first thing you will want to do is pick a bright color for all of the shirts. Why? So you get noticed! Remember that family at the amusement park that you made fun of for wearing brightly colored, matching shirts? Well, they were on to something. Whenever you have a large group of people wearing the same thing—especially a group of young, fun-loving ladies—you will get noticed! And you will also get a lot more attention. Trust me on this one! This attention might translate into a free round of drinks in the bar, an on-stage dance with a male stripper or more dance invitations under the strobe lights. Be sure to pick a color that the bride-to-be likes and is flattering on her.

2. Style Them Up

T-shirts don't have to be big and boxy. There are a number of styles that are cut to flatter the curves of women. If you want something a little racier, you could always select a racer back tank top with a scoop neck. Or, if you are partying in cold weather you might prefer a hoodie. Whatever style you select, be sure that it is something the bride-to-be likes and will also be flattering for all of your guests. It should be available in a range of sizes to accommodate different body types.

If your party has a theme, be sure to include some of elements in the design of your bachelorette t-shirts. Martini glasses, rhinestones and lipstick kisses are all popular ways to customize t-shirts for your girls. You can add elements on the front, back or even the sleeve.

3. Get Creative!

The more creative the t-shirts, the more attention you will get. One way to do this is to include a funny saying and/or information such as the bride's name, the date and the location. Example: "Shauna's Last (One Night) Stand! 11-25-12" Another idea for the bride's shirt is issue a challenge and make a game out of it. "Buy me a shot! I'm tying the knot!" Or, if the bride doesn't drink you could use a slogan like "A buck for a suck!" You can then attach a number of Lifesavers to the shirt in fun places and encourage cute guys you meet along the way to pay a dollar to suck (or bite) them off. Before the party starts the other guests can make guesses as to how many shots or how much money the bride-to-be will get; the one who makes the closest prediction will win a prize. You might be surprised at just how competitive the guests will get for something they really want!

You may also want to customize the back of the shirts for each girl. You could put their real name or simply identify them as a bridesmaid; underneath that, give them a fun label in parenthesis. "The fun one!" "The fabulous one!" "The drunk one!" And so on and so forth. Just be sure that all of the descriptions are in good fun. While one person might laugh if you—and others that she meets along the way—call her "The naughty one," someone else might not find it so amusing. The night should be fun for everyone!

Another idea is to create a checklist on the back of the bride-to-be's shirt; things like "drink 2 shots of tequila," "dance with a man in uniform," "find someone to serenade you" etc. Again, this will draw attention to the bride-to-be and her entourage and make the party much more interesting. Whatever your list includes, you will want to keep it within the bride's comfort zone.

4. Wear Them Somewhere Different

Once you have designed some fabulous bachelorette t-shirts, don't just wear them to the same old bars or clubs that you typically frequent. Even with the most creative t-shirts, you aren't going to get a lot of attention from people you see all the time. The guy you see at the office every day will be less likely to suck a Lifesaver off your BFF's shirt and chances are you will be a bit more inhibited as well. Try the nightclub scene in a nearby city instead or hit a bar in your own town that you ordinarily wouldn't go to. A western bar with a mechanical bull, for example could be a fun change of scenery from a martini bar or vice versa.

If the bride-to-be isn't into the bar scene, there are still plenty of fun venues where you could wear the t-shirts. A chocolate walking tour, tandem skydiving or post –spa day dining will all be more memorable when wearing bachelorette t-shirts.
